Interact has implemented for Enel SpA a Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. Enel is an International Group operating in 40 countries and 4 continents. It is the largest electrical Company in Europe and the second utility listed per installed capacity. It boasts over 32 million customers and since 2006 is also the second national operator in the gas sector with 2.9 million customers.
Requirements
Enel needed a platform to deliver contents to its suppliers and partners located in various countries, control accesses, distribute typologies of digital assets supplied by the internal communication office, whose target it was to achieve a coordinated management of their Brand and their Communication.
Performance
Enel entrusted the Digital Asset Management platform managing to Interact, a Company having a long-term know-how in designing platforms and portals for managing digital contents. The DAM platform was implemented using the RubyonRails technology, the same framework on which the CMS Xmanager, developed by Interact, is based.
Results
The Digital Asset Management Enel Box platform is still today able to fully meet the requirements of the Enel Group by:

- Creating specific groups for sharing and utilizing assets
- Granular access management
- Managing the approval process of content ingestion and editing
- Multiple asset management and editing
- Managing files
- Utilizing an advanced search engine
- Managing various types of assets afferent to communication: from the logos vectors through to videos in HD
- Coordinated management of the Brand identity.
