Interact launched the new version of WapUp, Tunisiana wap portal. Tunisiana is a leader on the mobile market and the only private telecommunications company in Tunisia with 35% share for Orascom Telecom group, with over 5 million subscribers.
The new revamped version of WapUp includes a rich user experience and an enhanced look and feel, in addition to new interactive, user centric features such as the WAP ChatUp and Gifts.
ChatUp is a WAP chat service that can be accessed through WAP enabled phones. ChatUp allows users to chat with each other based on their interests. They can also chat in public chat rooms or create their own private chat rooms and invite other people. Subscribers can manage their own profile and customize their account profile picture via WAP and MMS. Subscribers can also receive SMS alerts and notification upon receiving private messages and also newsletters via SMS.
Moreover, Sending mobile content Gifts is another new interesting feature of the new WapUp portal. This feature's idea is very simple; instead of buying a piece of content like a ring tone, wallpaper, game...etc for the subscriber, to download it on his handset, he can just pay for it and send it to another subscriber. The other subscriber will receive an SMS on his mobile handset notifying him with the buyer's identity and a link to download this content for free.
